I make very affordable caskets and coffins in two basic styles, rectangular, or traditional six-sided, which I either have in stock, or can provide at short notice. My basic range is always available in any size and can easily be decorated, either by me or you. My artistic range is more individual and as each one is a unique one-off only certain items will be in stock at any one time. However I can often source caskets from external suppliers and will happily custom make any of the styles you see in the gallery of my previous work.

I make my own caskets individually, mostly by hand and almost entirely from recycled materials. Because of this they have slight imperfections. I sell my caskets either assembled or as flatpacks which you can put together yourself, and I also sell a "DIY Kit" which allows you to make one from plans I provide with plywood you source yourself - probably the cheapest way to obtain a wooden casket in NZ. Assembled caskets are available for collection from Lower Hutt, or I may be able to deliver if you live near Wellington. I prefer not to ship assembled caskets,but it may be possible in some cases. Freight cost is generally $100 to a Peter Baker depot anywhere in the North Island, or $130 to any depot in the South Island, with an extra $30 for delivery to a residential address. However as prices do increase I will confirm the freight cost with you when you order. Unfortunately Peter Baker do not pick up or deliver on weekends.
